Dan Johnson retired six years ago from an accounting career at KPMG, where he was a partner for 36 years. His specialty is the insurance industry.

Dan has been to Canada only once and never farther north than Quebec City. The destination seems daunting to him. But he is the outdoorsman of the group, spending summers in Boulder Junction, Wisconsin where he enjoys boating and fishing and is probably the man best suited to cope with the trip’s rigors.

Dan has been married for 40 years to Leslie Swoger. They have three children and four grandchildren.  Their families are scattered around the USA in Portland, Oregon; Austin, Texas and Erie, Pennsylvania.  Dan plays to a 16-handicap. He believes climate change is a reality but the reaction to it mainly serves political purposes.
